Happy friendship week everyone.(7 test in one week. Must study...) I think the school is going exam-happy. It seems like they love seeing the frantic faces of students as they rush through tests.
Don't you all agree with me?

Two days ago, our school took us to the botanic garden. We went to a rainforest (??!!)
I didn't know there was a rainforest in Singapore...
I didn't turn the way I expected it to be. (You know, in books they always say rainforest are SUPER damp and SUPER dark and full of insects and all.)

Well I was pretty excited, (although I am not a nature-y kind of person), because I finally got a chance to try out my photography skills in nature.

These are SOME of the photos, most of them turned out pretty sucky I guess. I took A LOT of similar photos. I will highlight the successful ones for you. =)

This is a very sucky picture of a bunch of very beautiful tiny fruits growing on a small plant. The bunch of fruits are soooo small. They are only about three cm? (Five picture taken) Rating:1


This is the more successful version of the above plant. It is my favourite and most successful picture. The focus is there.

I love photoshop/photosudio. I was first introduced to photoshop by my friend, Bao Ni and Shahilia. I have been experimenting with photoshop/photosuido since beginning of this year. Because I dont have photoshop at home, I use photostudio, which is just as good.
I find them very useful for colouring art works. However, mouses are not good for drawing and colouring. Therefore the result always turns out the be suckier than I expected. So give me a walcom tablet will you? *grins*

This is an example of my photoshop skill. I asked my cousin if he had any pictures he wanted me to edit. he gave me this picture.

and so the editing begins...

See the difference? I blurred the background to give a more professional look. And I also erased all the pimples and the mole and the eyebag. Then, I made his eyebrows thicker and his noce smaller. After that, I added more shine to his hair. Finally, I made his skin super smooth. Well, maybe I overdid it. But it is still nice right? Not bad for a beginner huh?

Then, he asked me if I could redo his hair because it looks a lot thicker. And with that the last touching up begins

I know I'm not THAT good at photoshop but I WILL get better and better...

So today I decided to do another one. I found this very pixelised picture of Mary Kate and Ashley and wondered if I could make it better.

Not bad eh. This took about 15 minutes because I am in a rush. Bye bye pixels, hello smooth and radiant skin. I even tried to add elven ears. They are fun to do! I'm still not good at making elven ears, but practice makes perfect. =)
