&where it STǺRŦS

Bio test is OVER!

4 days, 4.5 mean hours of sleep, constant procastinationg, peak-hour revision...two developing eyebags... THE RESULT?

Coming soon to a high-class cinema near you.

And, thanks to tricia for the last-minute revision on nephron! Thanks to limin for the explanation yesterday!

And Farzean and Goh Shu Yin for the last minute revision (we were talking about peristalsis and diaphram, and got a REAL SHOCK when it was mentioned in the first 3 questions of MCQ. Also talked about insulin, too bad didnt come out!)

Lastly, Anisha for the peak-hour smses and the morning canteen people (Jess, Ting ke, Gina) and Serene for the motivation. Gosh I sound like I'm giving out an O level graduation speech.

I swear on my biography marks, we did not cheat. We're just psychics, see?

Lets prove give Mr Peh our rebutal/ a way of proving him wrong by (hopefully) getting good marks!

I won't say the paper is easy... because bio papers are pretty unpredictable. I may think its easy, but I might get sucky results, and all. I NEED to preplenish my sleep. This is the max I've stenched my sleeping hours to like... ever.

Oh, and just when I thought that this is my bad luck week, today is my good luck day of the bad luck week! I got an A for Social Studies! Yay, my first and only A.

I only do well in Social Studies, and particulary SBQ. Okay, I shouldn't say that. I should say I do wel SOMEtimes. I also happen to do well in unseen prose (lit). In short, I do better in those unseen stuff *psychic, coughs coughs*. Altough my marks tend to fluctuate here and there, I do hope I can do well for combined humans at Os.

Oh dear me, I just wrote to big chunks of paragraph that would probably offend some of my readers, regarding the Social Studies test. Don't worry, its written in a moment of sheer anger, I deleted them. =)

No offence, and I'm not trying to brag either, I didn't go around saying I received a decent marks, I received sweet congratulations, albeit in the form of "stoop lah you (typical anisha)*" or"Aggy congrats!(typical caring granny)"but some of the comments I cant decide if it has a tone of sarcasm or whatever hidden message. Ok this sounds so crap.

I was prepared to fail, honestly, honestly. I was sitting right in front of Farzean (cos we were doing the groupwork) and both of us were gasping and discussing how badly we'd fail since most of our answers contain the "wrong answers" flashed in the little pink papers.

I received mine first, and Farzeans eyes grew as big as a fishball. And then she smacked me real hard. Those that suggests yeah-right-you-fail kind of slap.

Few papers later she received her. My eyes grew slightly larger (since my eyes are puny, I can't glare as big as she does. But if my eyes were as big as hers, it would probably fall out). I smacked her head. What a gundu! Both of us!

FYI, no we didn't copy each other, nor did we send any secret signals. She scored in the section I did quite badly in, vice versa.

So enough of Social Studies, classroom decor! It was very cool! Y'all shall see it tomorrow. I hope we will win~! Since this is the last year we will ever decorate the CNY themed board. I never felt so happy decorating the class! Because WE did it together as a class.

I remember in Sec1, I was the only one in class doing the decoration with stupid REALLY THICK tree branches that of course, didnt stick with blue tack as planned. So I had to dangle it with scotch tape.

And the next day some people actually commented how stupid it looked. It is stupid, I admit, the barks were falling off like drandruffs. But what gives you the right to say that since you didn't even bother to come up with an idea, let alone help, in the first place?

I think Tricia had similar encounters like these too, I THINK.

Anyway, I hardly feel like its Chinese New Year next week, I hardly even felt this week has gone by!

I bet a lot of people are preparing their speeches. But no worries for me, I did it on tuesday! (because I thought we would have to present on wednesday). Yay, more time for procastination! Well it isn't really procastination since I don't have anything I plan to do... JOY!

Mel, this was the best thursday in my school life! Biology didn't turn out THAT badly, I received a pleasant surprise for SS, and we had fun during class decor and the journey to tuition, even i tuition, okay at least I did!

Can't wait for JESS to join out tuition, then we'd have way more fun. And Jess, sorry for the nags before Bio! (I read your blog). You're gonna quit your ducking tutor right?

Wow, this post is was longer than I thought it'd be. And I'mma make it longer by uploading 370++ pulau pics. This has got to be the biggest pic blogpost I've ever made. THANKS TO TING KE WHO TOOK RANDOM SHOTS OF ANYTHING MAAAN! But thank her for the eye candies too =)

I shall start with my few favourite pics first. I photoshopped them, the originals can be seen at the latter non-processed pics.

Oh and go see the Youtube Vid on my previous post!

Å

The sun was sinking,
Behind the eiffel tower,
We stood below,
And our eyes met each other.
Our fingers interlocked,
Your lips touched mine,
And mine touched yours,
Eyes closed,
All thoughts put on hold,
Noises shut out,
No time to breathe...
Eiffel...I'm in love ♥

HEY YO!

Like my new skin?

YOU BETTER! Took me 5 hours!!!

Haha, inspired by the Indonesian Blockbuster Eiffel, I'm in Love, one of my most favourite movies, also by Ratatouille, and the fact that Paris is one of my dream-city...

I know the poem is corney/cheesy... shut up, shut up!

I kind of missed stitch... but it messed up and Fish said it takes eons to load.

I have NOT touched a single book, went out the whole day... I am hard, hardworking girl. =D

Edit: (added sun, Jan 27)

RIP Soeharto, also known as Indonesia's "father of development". We all know he was severely corrupted, but lets put aside the unglamorous past and remember him as the man who brought about significant economic growth to Indonesia. There's good and bad in every one. He just happens to have the extremities of both.

Maybe I'm too young to not understand why people will not put the matter down...

Maybe I wasn't around to see the damage with my own eyes...

Most people are puzzled by how lenient my judgement is of him, considering that I'm an Indonesian-Chinese. (note, they claim that "His rule, however, led to political purges and the deaths of millions of suspected Indonesian communists and Chinese-Indonesians, and enaction of legistlation outlawing communist parties and ethnic Chinese.")

All I know is that it was much more stable when he was in charge.

Whethe or not he should be prosecuted, lets leave it to the people-up-there to decide, now that he has moved on.

I happen to care about blogging this, rather than Heath Ledger, because I feel somewhat connected to the issue. I don't see the buzz about Heath Ledger... probably because I, too, don't see the hype about brokeback in the first place.

If he was my idol, maybe I'd be bawling and screeching right now. Truth is, I didn't even know his name until people started mentioning his death.

Hey!

Had orientation for Sec1 today.

Let me rephrase that, guided the sec 1s for orientation today. Geez, I almost made myself sound so young.

While we're on the subject of young... Lemon was fangirling about Ouran. And I argued that I should be senior hani honey. Since...

1. I'm the shortest
2. I'm the oldest.

However, she came up with a pretty reasonable suggestion why I should just stick to being Harusissy.

1. I am not kawaii.

Yeah, sounds reasonable enough! I mean have you seen a cute pudding... or egg in that matter? Its wrong in so many ways.

Anyway, Lemon has been sour all day long today (pun intended). I swear her mood swings are more irregular than my menses. She goes like hippie hoppie to down and sulky in approximately 3 seconds.

Kinda looks like she sees red every 3 seconds (pun completely intended, again). haha, our orientation tee shirt was red! So technically speaking everyone she sees is in red...

Anyway Lemon, if you're reading this, you missed the best part or orientation! The campfire was pretty fun. Ask granny!

Anyway (ah, so many anyways) my mum/grandpapi/grandma thinks my neck is super big. And yes my neck is already big from fats. But now its huge.

I've always had thyroid (note: Thyroid is the neck area, controls metabolism. Thyphoid is a type of food contamination). As in, sometimes I will have sore throat and it'll swell a bit ocassionaly. But I've had this terribly uncomfortable sore throat since Chirstmas and my neck swelled up like whoah.

I have sensitice nose/throat since young, nose/throat since they are both related in a way. I get flu/cold very often and my nose tonsils (yes you DO have a nose tonsil!) swells up pretty often.

My doctor have advised me more than one time to have it removed. But my parents are against the idea or surgery unless it really important.

My mum is taking me to the docs. And no, I'm not worried if I get hypothyroid (hypothyroid is a sickness whereby your metabolism is considerably low. Chen LiPing has this sickness hence her trouble putting off weight). I'm more worried if I get diabetes.

If you notice, doctors who specialise is thyroid WILL also specialise in diabetes. And my amily tree has the diabetic genes in our blood. I have a sweet tooth. Can you get diabetes at such a young age? I hooope noooot! *BWWAH*

I'm so worried I went to the extent of checking if my pee is sweet or not. Which unfortunately I dont know how but I'm still sane enough to not TASTE it lah.

But I have a tendency or overreacting so maybe its just thyroid, eh? *crosses fingers*

Wish me luck!

Happy 2008!

Its gonna be fast year!

Lets hope we'll be enjoying ourselves like we NEVER did about say 10 months from now? hehe.

Lets hope ours results will rock and make history in 2009, considering we did our O's in the lukcy "fu" 2008 year. (Yes, im superstitious)

Countdown at Clarke Quay yesterday. Actually, its 2008 even before we reached Clarke Quay.

Bwahaha, we started walking there at 11.50, 5 min late to countdown! Haha

But we went to the middle, and there was hell loads of people dancing on the stage.

And suddenly these Malaysian trios came up to us and said "WAZZUP MAN! HAPPY NEW YEAR MAN...YEAH!!! *proceeds to hi-5 each of us*

mum *hi-5s him the rocker style*. I looked up at my mum, maybe she had too much Anti Biotics...

And then halfway cops came in...

There was a body on the floor.

A caucasion lady laying face down on the floor. They turned her around. She kept still. Shook her up, she started breathing. Thank god she isnt dingdong! She had new year party spray and leftovers party confettis stuck to her shoulders. My mum said maybe she is drunk...

Okay, so after standing there, getting bored watching people numanuma yay... we decided to go to the bridge. Abnd whilst walking there we saw 3 differently couples already bickering and threating the other for break up.

Okay, then we bough Hagen Dazz. Melted Hagen Dazz... Cos they kept opening and closing the thing and the ice cream sarted to melt.

Finished ice cream! Going home... went pass Arena, and there were so many people qeuing up! Went pass Fashion Bar... First thing I did in 2008, went inside a bar. My mum decided to ake a sneak peek, Dad went in first. The bodyguard person saw me and almost didnt let me in. Heng my mum was behind and pushed me in.

Ah, So that is what a bar is like! Full of people, some load, most drunk, some looking bored to hell! So after looking around for 2 min, we went out.

Then at about 2 am we went to nearby Sultan rd to eat Bak Kut Teh. Happily eating and saw this ang moh lady going "YEAH MAN YEAH BABE!!!" RIDING A TRISHAW.

And there was the trishaw uncle BEHIND, pushing the trishaw uphill cos I think the size 0 woman couldnt possibly have any energy to go up that nasty hill.

And in the trishaw is her friend, sitting happily, corssing her leg, when she is about twice the size of the skinny woman. Okkayy... that was all messed up!

After we finished eating we walked home... 10 meters after walking, we saw this uncle scolding his passenger.

Apparently, the Indian lady did not bring any cash to pay for the taxi... she was really pretty and fashionable though so I think maybe she lost her wallet or something. So we walked on.

After walking for barely 30 seconds this bunch of ang moh peeps came walking down bowling whistle and new year trumpets. They looked back and saw the commotion between the taxi uncle and this passenger. Two of them then decided to play police...

The went up to the taxi uncle and started blowing whistle ala police, pointing to the car and to him, as if signaling that his car is parked the wrong way.

Haha! I couldnt make up if they were trying to soothe the tense situating between the uncle and the lady or merely poking fun... Nevertheless, it was an interesting new year.

Things to note:
-first time d=seeing drunk person.
-saw more than 7 severly drunk people
-saw more than 9 couples quarreling
-ang mohs are wild but really fun and crazy people
-trishaw uncles have thunderthighs and rock-hard calves!
-Countdown in Clarke Quay is interesting!

Of all the countdowns, this is one of the most fun ones! I remember vividly one countdown, 2 years back (since im writing this in 2008) My aunt took me to eat mutton soto at the roadside warong at 7pm-ish. Then may father took me to Hailai but it was effin crowded so we dropped the idea ltogether and went to my maternal grandmas house for countdown.

She on the tv and poured me a quarter glass of Baileys. Its an Irish wine, my one and ony favourite wine. On rocks, and I drank it on empty stomach, considering my dinner was at 7 and i only drank soup. And I got half drunk, on 3 gulps of bailey! And bailey's alchohol content sisnt high! And I usually drink more than 3 gulps.

My dad says I cant drink alchohol on empty stomach, and after eating muttons it just makes my a candidate for being a drunkazord!

Cheers to 2008 people! Though im dreading it like whoa... Im missing 2007 already.
